How it all started
I’m based in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, where I started Clearwater Paddleboards in 2021. It all began when I built a custom paddleboard as a gift for my partner—what I didn’t expect was that it would spark a true passion for creating unique, handcrafted boards for others.
As a trained carpenter, I’ve always had a strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality, and that same care goes into every paddleboard I make. Each one is carefully crafted from red cedar, ensuring not only a stunning design but also lasting durability and performance.
I believe in taking the time to do things right, which means paying attention to every step of the process—from the first cut to the final finish. When I'm not in the shop, you’ll usually find me out on the lakes and rivers around Canmore, paddling and soaking in the incredible views. It’s one of my favorite ways to connect with nature—and to put my boards to the test.
